Swiss collaborative map

Every signpost tells a route.

RandoSign brings Swiss hiking signposts into a clear map: field photos, destinations, walking times, altitude and GPS coordinates. The goal is simple: find useful information, verify it visually and improve it together.

Explore Search for a signpost, destination or area directly on the map.
Hike Compare directions, durations and variants visible in the field.
Share Add photos and help the database become more complete.
The idea

Built for what hikers see on the ground.

RandoSign does not try to replace a hiking map. It documents what people actually see on site: signposts, destinations and walking times that guide the hike.

1

Explore

Find a destination, spot signposts in an area and quickly understand possible links.

2

Hike

Prepare an outing, retrieve information seen in the field or compare several directions from the same signpost.

3

Share

Contribute with a photo, a location or a correction to improve the shared map.

Why RandoSign exists

Hiking signposts are everywhere in Switzerland, but their information is rarely available visually before or after a hike. RandoSign creates that practical, readable and collaborative memory.

  • The destinations written on each signpost.
  • Walking times visible on the signpost, without reinterpretation.
  • Field photos to check information at a glance.
  • GPS location and altitude when available.

Help the map grow.

A signpost photo taken during a hike can become useful information for the next hikers.

Thank you to everyone who has already sent signposts: your contributions bring RandoSign to life.

RandoSign complements official maps and sources. In the field, always follow local signage, weather and real conditions.
